Step 1 — Download (two parts)
- Sign in at manage.autodesk.com → All Products and Services → AutoCAD → Downloads → 2026 / Windows 64-bit.
- You'll get two files: a self-extracting .exe (part 1) and a .7z data archive (part 2).
- Save both in the same folder, keep the original names, and never extract the .7z manually.
Step 2 — Install
- Close other applications and temporarily disable third-party antivirus.
- Right-click the part-1 .exe → Run as administrator.
- Extraction takes 5–15 minutes depending on drive speed — don't interrupt it.
- Accept the licence terms, confirm the install path, and let installation finish (15–30 minutes).
Step 3 — Activate
- Subscription: launch AutoCAD 2026 and sign in with the Autodesk account that holds the licence — it validates automatically.
- Serial number: for licences delivered with a serial + product key, choose the serial option on the licence screen and enter both from your purchase email.

GRAPHICSCONFIG. - Crashes at launch — repair/install .NET 8 runtime from Microsoft, then update Windows.
