Installation steps

  1. Go to mcafee.com/activate and start activation.
  2. Enter your 25-digit activation code and submit. If prompted about region, select Continue.
  3. Enter your email address and proceed.
  4. Create a password (min 8 characters, with 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase and 1 number).
  5. Select Install on this Mac and accept the agreement.
  6. Click Download to get McAfee-Macinstaller.dmg, then run it to finish installing.

Note on auto-renewal: if an Auto-Renewal pop-up appears and you don’t want it, do not click “Agree and Continue” — click the blue X on the pop-up to skip it. It is not mandatory.
